Umberto I Rome Tunnel - Italy

Local government launched a programme of tunnel cleaning and refurbishment, using Airlite to repaint more than 9,000 square metres of tunnel walls.

As the programme finished, air pollution in the tunnel was reduced by 51%. Since 2007, the tunnel has never been cleaned or maintained, and is still as white as new.

Airlite reinvigorated this century-old landmark and protected the health and safety of Rome citizens.
